Does finding 20 cm deep coins , nails etc mean it's virgin ground ?

Hi guys ,

If one is finding stuff well buried , like coins and other metal objects , does it mean no one has been there before ?

Or do some of the modern detectors discriminate everything but gold ?

I wanna be excited about some new ground I'm on , but you could blow me out the water !

Cheers

Gunter

Sounds like new ground to me, If I was you I would grid the whole area first and cover every bit of groundgoing backwards and forwards anf then do it again at 90 degrees and then do it all again,

Good luck HH

John.

Yes Gunter, what Ridge Runner says. Maybe it has been gone over before, but could have been careless. Maybe it was a while back and detectors have improved since then. If I was finding stuff like that, I would certainly grid the whole area and go over it very carefully. Good luck mate.
