Giday all,
This is my first post on this forum.
I am a lapsed detectorist looking to get back into the saddle after a couple of years off.
I see the online prospecting community has grown considerably in that time. So I thought I would seek some advise from those in the know.

My current project is to build a coil sled to drag behind my ATV Can-am 650 quad bike for salt lake work and to patch find new ground.
I already have a coiltek 40 x 20 anti interference coil and I'm trying to choose a detector to slave to the sled for this work.
The idea is to patch find targets then go back with a Minelab 5000gpx and dig each target.

I have been considering the following detectors for the job. All minelab equipment.
sd2000
sd2100
sd2200
sd2200d
sd2200v2
gp extreme 3000
gpx 3500.

I have eliminated any detector above the 3500 for reasons of price, noise and effectiveness at depth.
I will possibly have Ismael Jones mod the machine for greater dept objectives.

I would be grateful for any suggestions, advise and opinions on this project, for both the sled design, and detecting with it.

Sandman :)
