I got my MGT in the post on Monday (thanks to the eBay guy for posting it so fast) I ran 10kg of 3mm cons through it with a pan to catch everything that drops out the back, found a few colours in it after a full pan of cons,
But while running the second 10kg bucket of cons I noticed that some of the water that was coming out where the gold is meant to be was flowing over the 2.5mm lip and back down the trommel missing the catch ramp, so I cut up a ice cream lid so it looked like a big 160mm washer and siliconed it to the trommel face diving me a sharp 7mm lip,
So I then ran all the cons again with a piece of ribbed V matting in the catch ramp (don't know why the guys that designed this thing didn't put V mat in there is beyond me) and ended up with some very fine gold that I couldn't see in the Vmat, this is what I ended up with after panning,
