Had a quick swing after night shift. I really shouldn't detect after night work because I cannot concentrate. :8
It's a complex detector and I don't learn anything when I am so tired. One shift to go.... 8.(

I did manage a 1900 half penny.

Another short hunt with the CTX today. Shift work sux. Mrs RJ had a bit of running around to do so she dropped me off in a park for an hour.
This is an old park that is going to have houses built in part of it. I was not happy to see that work has already started with an area fenced off and digging under way. Many treasures will be lost.

Old Martini the lizard was ready to tear you a new one too ,.... stirred but not shaken hey !
8) :D

Probably still shaken from a stirring up by kids long gone by the time you got there ! ;)

Put a few hours in at the same site as my last hunt. It's a huge and well flogged site. The same place we had a group hunt that Heatho traveled down for. I was with another local and he did pretty well with a florin, 2 x Rams heads and a thrip for his silver tally. The little tractor was his find but he knows I like the toy cars so gave it to me.

My best finds were an 1854 large penny and an 1853 Tea Stores token. Pretty happy with my results but I must say the CTX hasn't done anything to impress me yet. The GPS and saving the details and location of the finds is a cool toy but my other detectors would have pinged every target today. I know it's still early to be bagging it. ;)

I have included examples of the large penny and token so you can see what they once looked like.

Well done ..
That tea store token is a cool find
What kind of miracle are you expecting ?
its not a magic wand  ..... or is it?

Haha. I don't know mate. So many people rave on about it being THE detector to own. It hasn't found anything my other machines wouldn't find. I guess I want a thrip at 2 feet. LOL I think it will be my beach detector, just need that big coil. Oh wait... I bought one today. ;)
