Well i dont often find coins, i'm more often digging nails and wire in my search for gold nuggets with my goldbug2 but today i managed to find two. First was a 1926 threepence then a 1917 florin. Always wanted to find a ww1 era coin so mission accomplished. Might give it a little clean with some bicarb :p

Thanks fellas. I wasn't even sure what the florin was until i got home and gave it a light scrub with a toothbrush . Made my day :p

As the others mentioned, those older florins are getting real hard to come by. A nice treat for the detectorist when the gold isn't flowing. ;)

Thanks guys. I might have to look at getting a bit more serious about this coin hunting caper haha :p

Coin shooting does get very addictive, especially since you don't have to travel far to start reaping the rewards. ;)
