If that's your first effort wow!

I like the hardware you've used for the adjustable legs and the drop riffle plate - the punch plate in the hopper is curiously placed - good work, good build 3 thumbs out 5

Hi Casper, Heres a more recent pic, I don't use that plate, it was no good, needed access to the grate below it. :)

Thanks everyone else for the comments! :)

You mind if I ask how you did the drop riffles? or are metal drop riffles available commercially somewhere? I've been thinking about doing something similar, figured the best way would be to fold one long riffle, then cut it up and weld together. That or try and make a die form or hammer form and do them one at a time.

Nce Russ was going to ask how the big rocks got over that grizzly. Would like to see a vid of this thing working!

I made the drop riffles out of aluminium flashing and formed it over the riffles on my river Sluice (pictured) and then filled the back with car bog and stuck it into the channel with silicone.

Nice one mate, that sounds like a much easier way to get that profile in metal than what I've been stuffing around with, thanks.

Double drop riffles and electric. What size bilge are you using and how long do you get on the jumper pack?

My current bildge is a 2000GPH 10amp, used to have a 500GPH but its too small. The jump pack only lasted about 2 hours. I have since purchased a 12v 100amp/hr battery that should go the distance, only problem is it's 30kg.

I got the square aluminium profile & corners through bunnings. The tube clamps (for the legs) I sourced through my previous job. But you can now get them off ebay if you search for HD Plastic tube clamp. Just make sure you can find the right diameter tube to suit before purchase, sometimes they have weird sizes for tube that isn't very common in Australia.

Just a few more photos of my highbanker broken down. Can't wait to get out there again and find some more of that yellow stuff! :)

I need to add a couple of flanges to the top to help when shoveling alluvium into it, stop it from falling out the side. I also need to look at a different classifying grate (circled in red) on the hopper as too much gets caught up & in turn builds up eventually blocking it, any suggestions will be awesome! :)

I have a youtube video of it in action, I will post link to it as soon as I am allowed to, I haven't posted enough yet and can't do video links :(
