Thanks for that Goldpick,I didn't notice the inscription.He was a private in the 15th Battalion of the A.I.F(Australian Infantry).I'm going to try and track down his family and return the medal if possible,my father knows a bloke with the same surname so I will start there.
 
Hi all :) Got out for a swing this afternoon for a couple of hours.Went to the old homestead site I've been over heaps,wasn't expecting much but hit a nice little patch of coin's and got my first gold ring yeeehaaa!! :D Here's the pics.....
