It's nice to be able to find something amidst what's been just sitting around for ages...... almost like those old drawer finds they talk sbout. :D

I'll see if I get the chance to do a $2,00 hunt and make a board up later in this week... that'll be all of them then. I have them all in the one album on my phone so that I can easily flick between them if the coins are just in a pile of different ones. I also have a 4-5 inch magnifying glass on a poseable shaft and a magnifying loupe to assist in the close scrutiny of the smaller coins and smaller details of the larger coins like the double bars behind the emu head on those few years that could possibly have them.
Those boards would only be the start of a journey.... as far as I'm prepared to delve in to it all (probably still just a superficial level lol)
But I'm realising that if I'm a bit cash strapped it's going to be easier to do a five cent hunt and keep twenty coins than it would be to do a $2.00 coin hunt and keep twenty coins. For anyone starting out and understanding it all at a young age it would be a great jouney to be on.... I coukd only imagine the view on that road taken (treasure galore`). :D
And.... 5c,10c, $1 & $2 all fit in these tubes from the cheap shop... bit of a nib on the bottom that will dig into the bottom coin (beware) and I'm not sure if that cheap plastic will affect the coins at all... but it will do until I can afford to buy the propper ones. ;) ;)

Another jar of coins I looked through

1567315309_screenshot_2019-09-01-14-59-23.jpg

And there was one 1966 2c worth keeping separate too.
1567315404_screenshot_2019-09-01-14-59-33.jpg
so here is another 2c to show where the SD is situated

Looks like the Queen had a bad case of acne at the time if you ask me :playful:

 It made me think that coin was fake! Coins don't usually deteriorate that way. What is going on with that one, silver?!

And if only parents got their kids into collecting coins like this, rather than plastic bits of crap from supermarkets. Their kids would thank them in future, rather than curse them for filling the environment with more useless bits of plastic crap, washing into our waterways and littering beaches, where they've already been sighted.

Cheers,
Megsy
