Can't make it too easy.

If I said it was then that would be a "furphy".

In the modern Army, a Furphy is a rumour, not a lie. Well, I suppose it could be a lie, a rumour designed to be mischievous.

e.g. "I have heard its only a 6 day exercise, no $ in the budget" after being told its a 6 week exercise....men would phone their wives and tell them they will be home for the weekend...."the chick from the tuck truck is the RSM,s wife" after hearing the new bloke refer to the tuck truck lady as the "pie slut".

I met the Fokkers well before Ben Stiller.

How about Alexander Augustus Norman Dudley "Jerry" Pentland. 5 Aug 1894 - 3 Nov 1983. Into business in 1927 which included flying around gold fields in PNG.

I sold my Australian company and used the funds to travel to the US where I still didn't have sufficient funds for what I had planned.
