"Find patch" (Locate Patch) setting on the 7000.

Thanks for that Flatlander. What's your take on mobile phones? Some say run it in aeroplane? mode, and some say it doesn't make any difference. I have mine turned on. Tried aeroplane mode and turned off, but, neither seemed to make much difference.

"Find patch" (Locate Patch) setting on the 7000.

I was hoping I could use both settings at the same time. That would eliminate the need to do the same ground twice. But, I am worried that 1 mode will cancel out the benefits of the other. Or, they will struggle with each other, therefore, losing depth, sensitivity, stability, etc.

    Photos from the bush

What is the second photo of? is it a shelter frame for a humpy? There's one the same between Kingower and Inglewood. If you threw a tarp over it it would keep you fairly dry on a rainy day.

"Find patch" (Locate Patch) setting on the 7000.

Thanks for that Nenad. Here's another question for you. Can I run it in locate patch, and, extra deep at the same time? Or, will these two settings cause the Z to lose depth, sensitivity, and make it unstable. etc? wiley

It's a septic tank lid. The shire inspected all the towns septic tanks and the drainage lines from them about 8 years ago. Mine passed the inspection.

    concrete/sewer lid advice.

My sewer lid has cracked and I need to fix it before I, or someone else, has a cold, smelly swim. But I can't work out how many bags of cement I need to make a new one. It's 1800 long, 1300 wide, and, 75 thick. Does any one know how to calculate the correct amount of cement for this? 0ne...

"Find patch" (Locate Patch) setting on the 7000.

If i want to use the "Find Patch" mode. What does this do? Does it speed up the timings, or does it basically put it into enhance mode? Does it lose any depth or sensitivity? Thanks.

    Whinge of the day thread...

We buy milk from Coles, and, have noticed it goes off much faster than it used to. It used to last well past the use by date ,but now sometimes doesn't even make it to that date. the fridge temperatures all tested good, so I turned them colder. That hasn't helped. Anyone else noticed this?

    Swing stick for vertical walls.

Does anyone use a modified swing stick on their detector to detect vertical walls, such as excavator trenches? The detector becomes awfully heavy after a while just using it normally, with one hand. wiley.

    Whinge of the day thread...

Here's an example of stealth marketing. i bought the one on the left early last year. When I went to buy one this month they'd shrunk by 125 grams. One quarter, or, 4 ounces. But the price was the same as the 500 gram jar was. You'd think it should be one quarter cheaper, wouldn't you? I won't...
