Just my 2c but it could be a pocket watch or possibly a ladies brooch?
Not sure if it's worth the effort but the flat spots on the edges look like they are holding the centre in, maybe if you were able to unfold them with a seal pick you might be able to get the centre out. Just thought it might...
Thanks Simmo for a thorough walkthrough and on your afternoon after working for the day to boot!
Legendary effort mate.
Simmo and his family invited myself and my better half along on their adventure to checkout part of the long closed-off Palmerville Station and have a look at country that's...
Well that wasnt real smart now was it.

I still remember my grandfathers stories of army drills riding in the amphibious army ducks from nobbys beach across to Stockton then being marched around the dunes and firing at dummies etc :argh:
Best advice would be to put 'crevice sucker' into the search bar on here and have a flick through the posts discussing this topic.
There are many from diys to debates on rules etc.
Rules state 'hand tools only, no machinery'.
Also try to avoid the word 'dredge' in posts as they are most...
Yep, best bet if you still want to have a poke around in the mulgrave is to go downstream to the big causeway at fisheries crossing.
Shouldn't have any issues having a pan there mate.
Gday incey,
Unfortunately the Goldsborough is definitely National Park if not just under the edge of the WH area.
Its hard with NP to know whats what as the borders aren't perfectly marked.
Basically tho once you go across the last bridge your in the NP. As has been said there is a locked...
Yep, still gotta scrape the lay layer at least.
Depends on where the clay has built up and whether it shows as holding colour as to how much effort/time to put it.
Like gravel, clay that has had small rocks and gravel compressed into it is always worth a look. :D
Heres some pics of my hip pack,
Has been pretty useful for all those little bits you need to carry.
Hope you find something similar that works for you

I use a little pouch similar to this that I grabbed from bcf a couple of years back. Unfortunately bcf no longer stock them but Ive seen similar ones at the army disposals.
Mine has 3 pockets, front one has a buckle over it as well as a zip.
Snuffer and plastic bottle of jet dry go in the back...
Cheers Greg,
thanks for posting that up ?
The new shop is located at the Showgrounds Shopping Center on Mulgrave Rd.
Good to know that we have a place to get the bits we need again!
TGW.
