Hi All,

I thought I would introduce yourself, I have been a long-time lurker and I am now keen to get into detecting.

I am looking to purchase a entry level detector.

Will probably be doing mainly coin shooting around parks and beaches etc.

Welcome Sparks! You should be able to get a good VLF at a good price to start finding those goodies at the beach and parks.

Hi All,

I have been reading through the topics investigating the best scoop/shovel for the beach.

I saw that nugget drilled holes in a wide mouth plastic shovel from Bunnings back in 2012, do you think this is still the best option or do you recommend a metal scoop?

Any other items which are useful in beach detecting.
